Leather is a natural material that requires a little more care than nylon collars. If it is regularly left on your dog while wet the leather will crack and its lifespan will be reduced. Follow our care guide below for best results.
EVERYDAY WEAR
If your dog’s leather collar gets muddy or wet, rinse off mud and debris with water, and wipe clean with a soft cloth. Always remove a wet collar from your dog and air-dry the collar (away from direct heat) overnight. Condition your dog’s collar every few months using the same products as you would for horse tack. Creature Clothes use saddle soap and neat's foot oil.SPECIAL CARE ADVICE FOR SWIMMERS
Always remove your dog's leather collar after it has swum, and allow the collar to dry overnight (away from heat sources). If your dog swims regularly treat the collar with leather conditioner (e.g. neat's foot oil) every couple of months. This collar is normally sent via Royal Mail first class post, unless part of a larger order that may be sent by courier.
