Founded in 2002 by Ana Poe, Paco Collars is run by the principle that dog collars can be both fashionable and functional. Combining her background in Art Practice (BA UC Berkeley) and dog training, Ana created a line of products that fused these two core intentions.
All Paco Collars leather dog collars are 100% handmade in their store in Berkeley, San Francisco. Ana runs the company with an emphasis on philanthropy, social responsibility, and education. Interested customers are invited to come in and learn leathercraft, and the company is heavily involved with charities that strive to increase the quality of life for our four-legged companions.
Paco Collars strives to make their collars as strong and long-lasting as the love you have for your dog, with an array of designs as unique as your bond. For every owner and every dog, there’s a Paco Collars leather dog collar that’s right for you.

WHAT MAKES PACO COLLARS GREAT DOG COLLARS?
Paco Collars are the best, most hardwearing collars we have found. With very little care they look good, nay better, year on year. When customers ask us what sets Paco Collars apart from other products, here's what we say:
- All collars are made with latigo leather, the same leather used in horse tack so it is designed to handle the elements and get softer with age.
- Small ¾ inch collars are made from 6-7 oz leather, and 1 inch/1½ inch collars are made from 12 oz leather.
- Secure, immovable rivets are used to fasten all joints securely - no stitching is used at all. Studs are fastened right through the thickness of the leather.
- Every Paco Collars comes with a lifetime guarantee on labour and parts. Read the guarantee here.
- The company uses leather that is more environmentally sustainable than most commercially available leathers.
- Like Merry Dogs, Paco Collars regularly donates goods and a portion of profit to dog-related charities.
- Paco Collars come in a wide range of sizes and widths, to fit dogs of all shapes and sizes.
