About Us

Merry Dogs has an active ethical policy that aims to support animal welfare, environmentally friendly production methods, and socially responsible businesses and manufacturing.   We use this policy to guide all our business decisions.

Your dog’s welfare is at the heart of all the business decisions we make – therefore, we only sell products that support dogs' emotional and physical well-being.

We always tell you where products are manufactured, and if possible we will explain how and why materials are sourced.

We buy the majority of our products from small, privately owned companies that manufacture on site, or locally, and who have dogs’ interests at the heart of their business.

Some of our products are manufactured in a different part of the world to the company that supplies it. In these cases we ask our suppliers for assurances that the production site has good ecological, animal welfare and social welfare standards.

We only buy leather that is a by-product of the beef industry, as recommended by the RSPCA. We highlight a product’s ecological credentials wherever possible.

We donate a percentage of profits to UK-based dog welfare charities (see the section Supporting Dog Charities).

If you have any comments/suggestions about our policies or products, please contact us at info@merrydogs.co.uk. We welcome your feedback and your views.
